RECOMMENDED ROUTES WITH EXPERT GUIDE

1. Caccetta picnic:

From the casavacanze you go up the road to the former campsite, after which you turn off for the rubber cross, point

very scenic as well as the top of the mountain of the same name, with the grandiose iron cross on top. After being

back down, along the road you visit the lake and then you arrive at the beautiful La Spella refuge, now managed by the Club

Italian Alpine of Foligno.From here we will take to the refuge, free and always open, of Caccetta, where

we can eat. The return takes place completely by road and in a short time we will return to the structure.

Duration 2h; Tourist Difficulty, with some more difficult sections; Difference in altitude 350 mt.

2. At the church of Sant'Antonio with a lunch break in the cave:

From the casavacanze you reach the former campsite uphill; cutting at high altitude, you reach the path 50 which is

it runs for a while until it descends on path 50 A which arrives at the abandoned town of Sant'Antonio. After

a simple visit, leads to the underlying source "Sermattei" and, after having refueled with water,

we will have a lunch break in the nearby small caves. At this point, go down and up the valley of the ditch

Renaro and you arrive at the road traveled on the outward journey, as well as at the campsite and then at the holiday house.

3. Hermitage of the prisons of Assisi:

go up to the former campsite and then arrive at the lake area; now we take path 50 in a few minutes

which goes up to the Bregno spring. Here we are on the summit meadows of Subasio: traversing them for a long time

we will arrive at the wonderful Vallonica valley basin. From here the descent towards the Eremo delle Carceri is without

difficulty.

We will enter the Hermitage through a secret passage, which we will also use on our return, after visiting the

duration of half an hour. For the way back, we will simply have to follow the carriage road from above

the hermitage reaches the locality of Bolsella. From here we will arrive again at the bregno source, already touched

on the way out, and then follow path no. 60 and then connect with the road that passes through the casavacanze.

4. Collepino, Roman aqueduct and Spello

By means of a simple shuttle with the cars, we can visit Spello directly coming down from the holiday house.

The route, simple except for a stony downhill stretch, includes a visit to Collepino, one of the most beautiful

villages of Umbria (you can visit in a quarter of an hour) and then go down and take the wonderful path

of the Roman aqueduct, which leads with a minimum slope up to Spello and then visits the town.

Duration 5h including views (by shuttle, otherwise to consider another two hours); Tourist Difficulty (2h of

visits) by shuttle, otherwise excursionist; Difference in altitude 400 mt. (almost completely downhill with

shuttle, otherwise, to consider another 400 meters for the return)
